RHUMC Committees

Trustees care for the facilities in which our ministries take place. Let us know if you see an area of concern. The current chair is Jeff Gustavson.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee is a liaison between the staff, pastors, and congregation for matters involving employment and direction for ministry. The current chair is Connie Yandle.

The Creation Care committee looks at how we can be better stewards of the planet and its resources as we go about our ministry as a church and childcare center. The current chair is Sheri Brezinka.

The Church Council is the top-level committee at River Hills, overseeing and coordinating the work of the other groups and setting overall vision. The current chair is Kim Engstrom.

The Welcoming Committee is in charge of hospitality and making sure newcomers get connected with the life of the church. The current chair is Sandy Hillis.

The Missions Committee supports a variety of local, national, and international missions, including being in relationship with missionaries through United Methodist Global Ministries. The current chair is Scarlett Riley.

The Finance Committee monitors and tracks the financial health of our ministries. The current chair is Kris Heimerman.

The Memorials Committee works with families to decide where to use gifts given in honor of deceased loved ones. The current chair is Denise Poetter.

River Hills is a participant in Common Good, an interfaith group that works to increase understanding and positive relationships between people of multiple faiths in this area. To get involved, talk to Julie Anderson.
