Sunday Worship & Activities
Welcome to River Hills UMC! We'd love to have you join us for worship online or in person!
Worship God with us at 10:00 am every Sunday, online or in person.
We believe in meaningful worship with a variety of musical styles. In addition to hearing scripture and deepening our understanding through the sermon and children's message, we love to sing as a congregation. Each week is a little different musically, including hymns, a choir and bell choir, a praise team, and small ensembles. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and everyone is welcome to participate regardless of age or background.
Attendance Options:
Coming to church is more than just worship. We want to build relationships, foster new ideas, and learn together as we grow as individual disciples and as a community. Some weeks include structured opportunities, but free space for fellowship is always available, too. Can't make it to worship at 10 am? We'd still love to see you at 11:00! This is a new thing for us at River Hills UMC, so we'd love your feedback as we grow together.
The second Sunday of the month is Donut Sunday, so that's always a great day to come by!
All Children Are Welcome
Children of all ages are always welcome in worship services! We don't expect them to sit quietly the whole time; we want all to know they are welcomed and loved! There are worship bags available for all children and teens, and our "pray ground" is in the back of the sanctuary with a small table of blocks and toys.
For kids age 4 through grade 5, we offer Children's Church during Worship, September through May. Children's Church takes the place of Sunday School and consists of a craft and lesson that is based on the morning's scripture. The kids can follow the teacher(s) out of the sanctuary after the children’s message to room 110. The children will be brought back up to the sanctuary at the end of worship.
The nursery (to the left of the sanctuary, past the Early Childhood Center front desk) is available as a space for families who need a little break. It can be staffed on request by emailing our Director of Family Ministries, Seth Horstman (shorstman@riverhillsumc.org).
Feel free to contact Mrs. Erica, our Children's Ministry Associate, with any questions!

On Sunday mornings, any of our ushers and greeters would be happy to give you a tour of the building. Want a tour at a different time? No problem! Just contact the office and we would be happy to get together with you!
