Worship & Fellowship

Follow the links to sign up for dates you can serve:

• Poinsettias: Purchase red or white poinsettias ($10.50) to beautify the sanctuary, and take them home after Christmas. Order by December 1, 2024.
• Coffee Prep and Clean-Up: Prepare coffee for Sunday fellowship time and clean it up afterwards.

• Scripture readers: Read scripture in worship (live or pre-recorded). Readers are needed every Sunday.

• Greeters: Greet as people enter the building on Sunday morning.
• ‍Altar Flower donations: Beautify the sanctuary and honor a loved one or event ($40).
• To help with ministry to children or youth, email Seth Horstman, Director of Family Ministries.
• Donut Hosting: Set out and clean up from donuts and coffee on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Missions & Service

Follow the links to sign up for these opportunities for service:

• Cookie Walk: The Cookie Walk will be Saturday, Dec. 7, 8:30am-12pm. We sell cookies by the pound to raise money for missions. Bakers can sign up here and drop off baked goods Friday evening or Saturday morning. If you would like a table to sell your handmade items there, sign up here. This year we are asking that 10% of your sales be donated to the Missions Committee in lieu of rented space. ‍
• Pledge Card: Fill out a pledge card either at church or by clicking here so we can plan our budget.
• Mission Trip: Our summer 2025 mission trip will be to the Appalachia through ASP (Appalachia Service Project). Get more information and sign up here. Email Seth to learn more about past or future mission trips.
• Red Cross Blood Drive: Our next blood drive will be spring of 2025. There's a critical shortage of blood available to hospitals, and all donations make a difference! Watch this space for how to volunteer or donate.
• United Methodist Committee on Relief: UMCOR serves globally and works to provide relief, response and long-term recovery when events overwhelm a community.
• Pumpkin Patch: Stop by our pumpkin patch each October! All proceeds go to charity & missions; click the link to volunteer. The Patch is open daily 11am-7pm through October 31.

• State Fair at The Rivers: Every year we bring the State Fair to residents of The Rivers, across the street from the church. Watch for 2025 plans for games, fair-themed food, and making friends.
• Feed My Starving Children: Watch the announcements for our next all-church packing session.
• MN Adult & Teen Challenge: The MN Adult & Teen Challenge choir leads us in worship every year. Hear the choir and their testimonies on January 19, 2025. Follow the link to learn more and give to support their work moving people from addiction to recovery.
• Loaves and Fishes: RHUMC serves and cleans up free meals on 2nd Mondays each month, 5pm-7:15pm for Loaves and Fishes at Easter Lutheran By the Lake (4545 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan). It’s currently carry-out only.
