Welcome! We are so glad that you’re interested in River Hills and have taken the time to learn more about us. You’ll find lots of information on our website about our worship services and ministries, but here is some of the basic information if you’re planning a first-time visit. We pray you’ll be warmly welcomed and blessed during your time with us!
Parking and Entering
The entrance to our building is off River Hills Drive. There is designated visitor parking, by our digital street sign and handicap parking in the east parking lot we also have parking across the street. We have two styles of worship: the Traditional Worship Service on Sunday at 9 a.m. and the Praise Service at 11:05 a.m. Just come straight through the gathering area (lobby) of the Sanctuary.
What to Wear?
Come as you are! Regardless of whether you’re in a traditional or more contemporary setting, you will see everything from jeans and polo shirts to dresses and suits.
Free childcare for is provided from 9:00am–noon in room 202 for children 3 years of age and younger every Sunday year round. Our nursery room has sign-in and sign-out procedures. This is year round.
Children’s Church—(age 3–Grade 1) is during the 9:00 and 11:05 a.m. Sunday morning worship services. Sunday School between services.
Children’s Sunday School
Age 3 – Grade 5 – Sunday School begins at 10:15 in room 110 with a large group opening time before children are escorted to their individual grade level classes. Our later start time allows for children to finish cookies and donuts upstairs before they enter the classrooms. On Sunday mornings, pre-schoolers (2-4 year olds) can go to the nursery if they are here during the 8:30 a.m. traditional service. We also have Sunday School for pre-schoolers at 9:15 a.m., during which the kids participate in a hands-on Bible lesson, do a craft, have a snack and sometimes play on the playground. Your pre-schooler will learn about God’s love while having fun! Just go to the hallway of the Children’s Wing and someone will help direct you to the appropriate classroom for your little one. Children are welcome in worship, too. Coloring sheets and bags of colored pencils are in the back of the Sanctuary and Worship Center.
Coffee and Refreshments
Coffee and cookies are available every Sunday morning in between worship hours. Feel free to spend some time there meeting new people and enjoying refreshments. Our welcoming desk is in the gathering area, and you can find brochures, church newsletters and other information about what programs River Hills offers.
Tours of our building and ministries are held every second Sunday at 10:20am. Grab a donut and meet at the Welcome Center. We’ll be done in time for 11:05 worship.
